
I’ve been craving for chicken casserole these past few weeks. In case you don’t know what chicken casserole is, you could check it out here. I learned doing that from my friend’s mother. The first time I tried it, I fell in love (though I always fall in love with any kind of foods lol) I tried to re-make that recipe before, it went well but nothing beats her mom’s cooking! (I swear.) I might blog about the remake of that recipe next time. But for now, I have nothing much of the recipe except for the potatoes. I could have used the leftovers from turkey’s thanksgiving but that was spoiled coz it’s been almost a month since thanksgiving. So tonight I just tried to make a simple mashed potato. Here’s what you need:
- 7 pcs of potatoes (good for 5 servings)
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 2tbsp of butter
- 3 hard boiled eggs
- cheese (quantity depends on how you love cheese)
What I did first was of course boil the potato for like 15 minutes. It makes the mashing easier.
Next step is peel and mash the potatoes! I used a plastic masher but I recommend to use metal since it’s more durable and makes mashing a lot easier. Using plastic masher requires you exert a lot of force.
After mashing the potatoes, warm it up in the burner and mix the milk. Add the butter afterwards. Make sure you mix it properly.
As easy as that, you have you main dish, the mashed potatoes. You can add salt if you want. To make it special, I did some little garnishing on it. I added mashed eggs around it and topped it off with cheddar cheese. I also added chunks of grilled sausage since I always eat a lot of food whether breakfast, lunch or dinner lol.
You could try this recipe if you want but I believe it’ll make you fart because of the eggs and potatoes haha!
