Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Servings: 4

Prep Time: 1 hour

Baking Time: 45 minutes


  1. 4 medium sized potatoes
  2. 1 cup of any kind of cheese (parmesan preferred)
  3. 1 cup of salted butter
  4. 1 tablespoon of flour
  5. 1 cup of milk
  6. 2 cloves of garlic
  7. 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  8. 1 teaspoon of salt
  9. chopped Parseley for garnish

How to Do It?

  1. Boil potatoes for about an hour.
  2. Preheat oven to 350F.
  3. Melt the butter and fry garlic until golden brown in a medium heat.
  4. Add flour. Whisk until there are no lumps.
  5. Add milk and continue to whisk.
  6. Bring to boil and set aside.
  7. Place the boiled potatoes in an ice bath.dsc_1698
  8. Peel and slice them into tiny round pieces like in the picture.dsc_1701
  9. Fan them out in a baking dish.
  10. Pour the sauce on top.dsc_1722
  11. To top it off, add tons of shredded cheese 😀dsc_1725
  12. Bake for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.dsc_1746
  13. Add parseley for garnish.
