📍Edworthy Falls Trail
There’s something about escaping the mundane, even just for a day. Stepping away from the same routines, the same places, the same version of myself I get used to seeing every day. Somewhere between the trees, the sound of rushing water, and the quietness of the mountains, I feel grounded again. Nature has a way of reminding me that my body needs movement, my mind needs stillness, and sometimes, peace is as simple as being somewhere far enough from everything familiar.

My feet were hurting, of course. There were moments when I wondered why I willingly put myself through the climb. But somehow, the tiredness makes the view feel even more beautiful. Maybe that’s the thing about life, too. The struggle of getting somewhere is part of the experience.

We tend to romanticize the destination, the moment you finally arrive, finally see the view, finally realize it was all worth it. But the destination is only one part of the story.

Because somewhere along the way, there were the laughs, the random stories, the little moments of silence, the wondering which direction to take, and the times we simply wandered without knowing exactly where the trail would lead us.

Those moments mattered, too. Maybe even more than I realized while they were happening. And when we finally reached the end, tired feet and all, I understood that the view wasn’t the only thing worth reaching for. Sometimes, it’s everything that happens on the way there that makes the destination beautiful.
