Cafe Alert! | Alforno Restaurant Review

Brunch, dinner, pastries? They got you covered! Feeling lucky to be able to have a review on one of the coolest cafe located at heart of YYC Downtown dubbed to be a hidden instagrammable place that offers a “hippie vibe”.wp-image-567609050jpg.jpg
A gold door that serves as an  entrance will welcome you to satisfy your cravings. Anyone can stop by for a fresh cup of coffee, sumptuous brunch or for its huge variety of sumptuous dessert!

Our group chose this spot to sit and do some planning about our upcoming Europe trip (I can’t wait!). The place is very pleasant & cozy. It’s perfect for students who wish to have that learning environment or for office workers who want to have a break from those paper works. During our visit, we’ve seen a lot of elderly clients gathered in the elevated function hall so I guess they offer reservation for those who wishes to have a private gathering or party.

Their matcha latte is perfect for this cold winter! Its creamy consistency makes me want for more!

Lemon pie meringue is not what I expected. I thought it would be a sweet dessert but it was sour. I don’t know if it was good or bad but at least I know it came from natural ingredients. ( I would appreciate if the staff would inform us about that hehe)

Aside from pizza, I can say that cheesecakes are their forte. We came in late at night but I can still say that their cakes are still fresh. It does not have gooey consistency unlike some other cheesecakes I’ve tried before. It’s not too sweet nor too blunt.

What I love about this bakery is that there is plenty to choose from in the bakery case to eat in or take home.

Their interior boasts a minimalist bar, marble counter, instagrammable corner and wood paneling.

Over all, I loved the place not just because of its minimalist design. The ambiance made by friendly staff, a wide variety of sumptuous (mainly Italian) food, and satisfying desserts are to die for! Be sure to check this place out!
