Vitamin C is known for having skin benefits like helping to create younger, firmer skin while fading signs of sun damage and post-acne marks. Vit. C is available in the market as a variety of creams, serum and transdermal patches. Of these, only the serum contains active Vit. C in an almost colorless form. One of them i came across with  is the Body Shop’s Vitamin C Skin Care line. They have lots of choices to choose from like lotion, cream, serum, spritz etc.

The items that i’ve got are VITAMIN C MICRODERMABRASION, VITAMIN C GLOW BOOSTING MOISTURIZER and VITAMIN C FACIAL RADIANCE POWDER.

It felt like a spa scrub experience upon using VITAMIN C MICRODERMABRASION. It really works for dull skin but i won’t recommend it if you have a dry skin since it finely exfoliates your skin to reveal that radiant glow.
 It has fine scrubs which for me is fine since it helps to do its main work: to exfoliate. After using this for a week, my skin felt soft and smooth and i always notice that glow that they promised!

VITAMIN C FACIAL RADIANCE POWDER is totally different from the first one. As you can see, it looks like a serum in a little bottle. It is very expensive for its size. It costs $30 with tax. This is called “powder” because it is sold with a powder and a solution mixture. You have to mix them with yourself and once you mixed them, you have to use them for 10 nights of days straight for it to achieve its maximum effect. Instruction guide comes within the box on how you mix them.

I noticed a difference in skin tone and brightness within a week of use as recommended.  I also love the citrus smell of the serum. According to other’s review, it also helped them in clearing acne marks though i can’t testify to that because i don’t have that much acne. But overall, i REALLY love this product and highly recommend it! Too bad they discontinued it! 😦

For the VITAMIN C GLOW BOOSTING MOISTURIZER, i used this everyday for like a month and it’s almost empty now lol. What i can say is it’s good and provides great moisturizing effects and leaves my face shiny and glowing. Not shiny-oily but a youthful shine and glow.

 My skin felt and looked energized and hydrated as promised! I highly recommend this product if you have dry skin or if you need a strong moisturizer to combat that dryness due to the cold weather! The smell of this product is absolutely amazing i kinda wanted to eat it lol. The vitamin C citrus helps to wake you up in the morning and give you a wonderful glow throughout the day. 

Bottom line is vitamin C is a long-established skincare superstar that can help you achieve younger, healthier and more radiant skin.
